Calling All Student Artists In The Treasure Valley!

Every year since 1996, junior high and high school students have competed to have their artwork featured on the Snake River Stampede poster.  First place winner is awarded a $500 scholarship, second place receives $300 and third place receives $200. Additionally, the judges choose others that deserve mentioning, awarding them $25 and finalist ribbons. The Snake River Stampede has awarded $14,350 to the winners over the past nine years.  The entry must portray a scene connected with rodeo, preferably action from one of the seven rodeo events that can be seen at the Stampede. They are: bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping and ladies barrel racing. It can also include bullfighting and mutton busting.   The artwork should be in a vertical format and the size must be 24" by 36". The work may be done in acrylic, oil, air brush or prismacalor pencil and should be done in vibrant colors.

Contact the Snake River Stampede by calling 1-208-466-8497 or e-mail the Snake River Stampede for more information
