ARTIST CHAUNCEY HOMER HIRED TO DESIGN NEW LOGO, POSTERS FOR Snake River Stampede
The Stampede directors have hired renowned western artist Chauncey Homer of Arizona to update the logo of the rodeo for the 100th anniversary of the Snake River Stampede. The new logo has been painted high on the wall on the front of the Ford Idaho Center near the main entrance. Stationery, director shirts and other items that carry the old logo have been phased out as the new one replaces it.
Homer has also designed a set of posters running for four years – 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. According to former Stampede president Jeff Agenbroad, a canvas rendition of this work of art will be stretched and sold to fans and collectors of western art in general. Homer will sign these paintings. In addition to that, 500 copies of the poster in print will be numbered and signed by the artist and they will also be available for purchase at the rodeo and through the rodeo office.
“We are proud of our long history and tradition in Nampa and we want our fans to be able to collect these depictions of our history,” Agenbroad added.
